Advanced Skin Treatment
Fractional RF Microneedling combines the collagen-stimulating effect of microneedling with the deeper tissue remodelling of radiofrequency energy. It's often chosen for concerns like skin laxity, deeper acne scarring, fine lines, uneven texture, and hyperpigmentation where a standard facial won't get the job done.

What It Can Help With
RF Microneedling works at two levels at once. The microneedles create controlled punctures that trigger your skin's repair process, while the radiofrequency energy delivers heat deeper into the dermis to support collagen remodelling where surface treatments can't reach. Here are the concerns it's most commonly used for.
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Helps improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles by supporting collagen and elastin production deeper within the skin.
Acne Scarring
Often used to help soften the appearance of acne scars by encouraging skin remodelling below the surface.
Loose or Crepey Skin
Can help improve the look of mild to moderate skin laxity by supporting firmer-looking skin over time.
Enlarged Pores
Helps refine skin texture and may reduce the appearance of visible pores.
Uneven Skin Texture
Often chosen to smooth rough or uneven skin and improve overall skin quality.
Jawline and Lower Face Definition
Can help support tighter-looking skin in areas where early sagging or loss of firmness is starting to show.
Ideal For: All skin tones & types
Not Recommended For: Active acne · Open skin lesions · Certain skin conditions · Pregnancy
Book a Complimentary ConsultationThe Treatment
The treatment uses a handheld device fitted with fine, sterile microneedles. As the device passes over the treatment area, the needles penetrate the skin to a precise depth while simultaneously delivering radiofrequency energy into the deeper layers of the dermis. That combination is what makes it more effective for certain concerns than traditional microneedling alone.
Most people need a series of treatments to get the best results. We typically recommend 3-5 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart, depending on your skin concern and what you're looking to address.
Talk It Through With Becky1. Your skin is cleansed and prepped
The session starts with clean skin and a quick assessment of the treatment area. Depth and energy settings are adjusted to suit your skin and the concern being treated.
2. The device passes over the treatment area:
Fine microneedles create controlled punctures in the skin while delivering radiofrequency energy into the dermis. The RF energy generates heat at a precise depth, supporting deeper tissue remodelling without damaging the skin's surface.
3. Your skin begins its repair process
The combination of micro-punctures and thermal stimulation triggers your skin's natural wound-healing response. Growth factors are released, fibroblasts migrate to the treated area, and new collagen and elastin production begins.
4. Results develop over time
Collagen remodelling is a gradual process. Skin continues to improve over weeks and months as new collagen matures and organises beneath the surface.

I absolutely love FaBesthetics! From my first appointment with Becky I have felt comfortable, confident, and amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. I have done laser hair removal treatments and most recently a Dermaplaning Facial. Everything is very clean and the environment is very relaxing and soothing! My skin feels absolutely amazing and clear and I actually have been able to leave the house without makeup, I haven't had the confidence to do that in over 20 years. I highly recommended Becky - she is absolutely amazing ❤️

I can't get enough of going there; it's not only fun but I look better and better every treatment. Prices are totally competitive!

Depending on your skin concern, one of these might work well alongside RF Microneedling or as an alternative worth considering.
Most clients describe a warm, prickling sensation during the treatment. The intensity can vary depending on the area being treated and the energy settings used. It's generally well tolerated, but if you have concerns about sensitivity, mention it at your consultation so we can adjust the approach accordingly.
Downtime is minimal for most clients. Some redness and mild swelling is normal and typically settles within a few hours. More sensitive areas like under the eyes can take a day or two longer. Most people return to their normal routine the following day.
Traditional microneedling creates micro-punctures in the skin to support collagen production at the surface level. RF Microneedling adds radiofrequency energy that penetrates deeper into the dermis, generating heat that supports more significant collagen and elastin remodelling. It's generally better suited to more pronounced concerns like skin laxity, deeper scarring, and more established lines where surface-level treatment isn't enough.
Some initial improvement in skin texture may be visible within the first couple of weeks. More significant results like improved firmness, reduced scarring, and softer lines continue developing over weeks and months as new collagen forms and matures. Peak results are typically seen at around three to six months following a course of treatment.
The recommended course is typically 3 to 5 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. The right number depends on your skin concern, how your skin responds, and what you're hoping to achieve. Your consultation will give you a clearer picture of what to expect.
Yes. Unlike some laser treatments, RF Microneedling is not chromophore-dependent, which means it's not targeting pigment in the skin. This gives it a strong safety profile across all skin tones, with a lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation compared to laser-based alternatives.
RF Microneedling is not recommended for clients with active acne, open skin lesions, certain skin conditions, or those who are pregnant. Your consultation is the right time to go through your full skin history so we can confirm whether it's the right treatment for you.
