Laser Skin Treatment
Laser Hair Removal targets and damages hair follicles using concentrated light energy, resulting in long-term hair reduction. It's a precise, effective alternative to shaving, waxing and electrolysis, with results that build across a course of sessions and last significantly longer than traditional methods.

What It Can Help With
Laser Hair Removal does something that shaving, waxing and threading can't, it targets the follicle itself, reducing hair growth at the source. Here's what that means in practice.
Long-Term Hair Reduction
Each session targets hair follicles in their active growth phase, damaging them so hair can no longer grow from them. Over a full course of treatment, this results in a significant and lasting reduction in hair growth.
Precision
The laser targets only the hair follicle, leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. That precision makes it effective even in sensitive and hard-to- reach areas.
Speed
Each pulse of the laser treats multiple hairs simultaneously in a fraction of a second. Small areas like the upper lip take just a few minutes. Larger areas like the back or legs take longer, but significantly less time than alternatives like electrolysis.
Reduced Ingrown Hairs
Because the treatment targets the follicle rather than just cutting the hair at the surface, it significantly reduces the occurrence of ingrown hairs, a common issue with shaving and waxing.
Less Time, Less Maintenance
After a full course of treatment, most clients find their grooming routine significantly easier. Regrowth, where it occurs, tends to be finer and lighter than before.
Versatility
Laser Hair Removal can be used on virtually any area of the body where unwanted hair is a concern.
Ideal For: All skin tones · Most hair types · Those prone to ingrown hairs
Not Recommended For: Very light, blonde, grey or red hair · Open lesions · Certain skin conditions · Those taking isotretinoin · Pregnancy

The key thing to understand is that this only works on hair in its active growth phase: the anagen phase. At any given time, only around 10 to 20% of the hair in a treatment area is in that phase. That's why multiple sessions are needed to target the hair that has moved into its active phase since the last treatment.
Every session is planned around your hair growth cycle. We'll space your treatments to ensure each session targets the maximum number of follicles in their active growth phase, which is exactly what determines how effective your results are. Hair that falls out in the 2 to 10 days after treatment is hair that won't grow back from those follicles.
Talk It Through With Becky1. Cleanse and prep
The treatment area is cleaned before the session begins. The skin needs to be free of products so the laser can work accurately on the follicles beneath the surface.
2. Protective eyewear
You'll be given protective eyewear before anything begins. This is standard for all laser treatments.
3. Laser treatment
The laser handpiece is passed over the treatment area, delivering precise pulses of concentrated light to the hair follicles. Most clients describe the sensation as a brief snapping feeling, similar to a light rubber band flick, that settles quickly between pulses.
4. Post-treatment care
After the session, the treated area is assessed and a cooling or soothing product is applied if needed. We'll walk you through exactly what to expect in the days that follow, including how to care for the treated area and what to avoid while your skin settles.
What to Know Before and After
Before Your Treatment
Avoid waxing, tweezing and plucking for at least 6 weeks before your first session, the laser needs the hair root to be present to target it.
Shave the treatment area 2 to 3 days before your appointment.
Come in with clean skin, free of makeup, deodorant and scented products in the treatment area.
Let us know at your consultation about any skin conditions, medications or recent treatments, particularly if you are taking isotretinoin.
Let us know if you have any open lesions or active skin infections before your appointment.
After Your Treatment
Some redness, mild swelling or sensitivity in the treated area is normal and typically settles within a day or two.
Treated hairs will fall out over the 2 to 10 days following your session. This is the expected result, not a side effect.
Do not wax, tweeze or pluck treated hairs between sessions. This disrupts the follicle targeting process.
Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day and avoid prolonged sun exposure in the treated area.
Avoid intense heat including saunas, steam rooms and vigorous exercise for 24 to 48 hours after your session.

I absolutely love FaBesthetics! From my first appointment with Becky I have felt comfortable, confident, and amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. I have done laser hair removal treatments and most recently a Dermaplaning Facial. Everything is very clean and the environment is very relaxing and soothing! My skin feels absolutely amazing and clear and I actually have been able to leave the house without makeup. I haven't had the confidence to do that in over 20 years. I highly recommended Becky - she is absolutely amazing ❤️

The accurate term is long-term hair reduction rather than permanent removal. Laser Hair Removal damages hair follicles in their active growth phase, significantly reducing hair growth over a course of sessions. Some hair may eventually regrow, typically finer and lighter than before, and maintenance sessions are available to address this.
Most clients need 6 to 8 sessions to achieve maximum results. Sessions are spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart to allow the remaining hair to move into its active growth phase, which is what each session targets. During your consultation, we'll give you a clearer recommendation based on your treatment areas.
Most clients describe a brief snapping sensation as the laser pulses, similar to a light rubber band flick. The sensation varies depending on the area being treated and individual sensitivity. Most people find it very manageable.

Hair falling out in the 2 to 10 days after a session is the expected result of the treatment, not a side effect. It means the follicles were successfully targeted. Those follicles won't produce hair again.
The laser only works on hair that is in its active growth phase at the time of treatment. At any given time, only around 10 to 20% of the hair in a treatment area is in that phase. Sessions are spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart to allow more hair to move into its active phase, so each treatment addresses the maximum number of follicles possible.
FaBesthetics offers laser hair removal for all skin tones. Results are typically strongest on darker, coarser hair against lighter skin, as the laser targets melanin in the hair. During your consultation we'll confirm which approach is right for your specific skin tone and hair type.
Yes. Multiple areas can often be treated in a single session depending on the size of the areas involved. Your consultation will help map out the most efficient treatment plan for you.
Laser hair removal is less effective on very light, blonde, grey or red hair as these hair types contain less melanin for the laser to target. It is not recommended for clients with active skin infections or open lesions in the treatment area, those taking isotretinoin, or those who are pregnant. Your consultation is the right time to confirm it's appropriate for you.
